One of the hardest parts of going gluten-free was figuring out how to continue my love of baking. Finding replacements for wheat flours in recipes is a challenge. On this page I will post the mixes that I find work the best for me.
So far I have found a good mix of flours to create a GF all purpose flour great for the cakes and cookies I've made so far.
Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour Mix (rice based)
Note - the addition of xantham gum in recipes is needed with this flour - but I'd rather add that in the recipe than mixing it in the flour mixture
I used a wisk to mix up the following components and placed in an air-tight container in the fridge to make it easily accessible.
*3 cups white rice flour
*3 cups brown rice flour
*2 cups potato starch
*1 cup tapioca starch
